We are pleased to announce that the CEPR Household Finance Seminar Series is opening submissions for its 2022 series, with the first session on Friday, 14th January 2022.

We solicit papers in the following areas, but other related areas are also welcome:

  • Asset allocation and debt behaviour over the life cycle
  • Financing retirement and the demographic transition
  • Consumer indebtedness, financial distress, and default decisions
  • Behavioural approaches to household finance
  • Financial literacy and financial education programs
  • Trust, subjective expectations, pessimism, and financial decisions
  • International comparisons of household finances using micro-data
  • Financial advice and legal protection of investors and borrowers 
  • Financial innovation and household finances
  • Households liquidity and risk management 
  • Climate change, sustainability, and household finances

In your application, in the "CV link" box please include the URL to your official website - please note that this is mandatory and submissions without will not be considered.

Authors who are CEPR affiliated or already have a CEPR profile can upload their submission by:
1) Log in on the CEPR portal online at

2) Go to https://portal.cepr.org/meetings/1460/info 
3) If you are a member of the FE program area click on "Change registration details", complete the requested information and click "Submit information".
4)  If you have a CEPR profile, click on "Step 1: Apply" and complete the requested information and click "Register"

Authors who are not CEPR affiliated or do not have a CEPR profile can:

2) Go to https://portal.cepr.org/meetings/1460/info 
4) Click on "Step 1: Apply" and complete the requested information and click "Register"

If you would like to register to attend the Series without submitting a paper:

1) Log in on the CEPR portal online at https://portal.cepr.org/
2) Go to https://portal.cepr.org/meetings/1460/info 
4) Click on "Step 1: Apply" and click 'Yes, I would like to attend' and click "Register"

Registering for the seminar series: As of February 2022, there is a new registration system for this series. Please visit here to register. Even if you have previously registered or attended a session within this series, you will need to re-register. Once registration has been completed here, it will not be required for future sessions of the series.  You can suspend or reverse your registration at any time by contacting Lydia Williams, Events Officer at lwilliams@cepr.org
