CEPR, IFS, UCL, BREAD,TCD Workshop in Development Economics 2022

Date: Friday 14th Oct 2022 - Saturday 15th Oct 2022

Programme Areas: DE

Location: , London, , United Kingdom

The CEPR symposium of the Development Economics Programme will be hosted by IFS on Friday 14 October and Saturday 15 October 2022. The conference is organised by CEPR, IFS, UCL, BREAD, TIME (Trinity College Dublin) and is funded by Irish Aid. We now invite submissions from interested researchers, including non-CEPR affiliates, on any topic within the area of Development Economics. The deadline for submission is Wednesday 10 August 2022

We are looking for full length papers which can be at different stages of completion and will start the conference with a session devoted to junior faculty and phd student presentations.

Based on information currently available, we plan an in-person/hybrid event at the IFS. This plan is subject to changes depending on the COVID-19 situation. The organisers will continue to monitor the situation and will switch to a remote event if necessary.

Funding
The sponsoring institutions can cover accommodation and travel expenses according to the CEPR guidelines for presenters. However, funding is limited and we encourage participants who have research funds available to use their own funds so that resources can be preferentially channelled to junior participants.

How to apply
Please note that there will be time for only a small number of presentations. The conference lasts two days; there are no parallel sessions.
